Everyone should have the opportunity to be healthy and live in a healthy environment.

The Colorado Foundation for Public Health and the Environment (CFPHE) works with people and organizations to develop and manage projects to protect and improve the public’s health and the environment in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Founded in 1993, CFPHE uses a multi-sector approach to systematically develop region-wide relationships and strategies that are imagined, implemented, tested and deployed through our partnerships with various public and private organizations, local collaborations and academic institutions. We invite you to learn more about these innovative partnerships and the work we do.

CFPHE’s line of business consists of three major programs:

  • Administrative Partnership
  • Leadership Training
  • Community Engagement

CFPHE is often chosen as a partner because our mission closely aligns with those of public and private public health initiatives, and CFPHE has experience working with communities.

CFPHE partners with public, private and nonprofit organizations and unincorporated organizations and collaborations to create meaningful public and environmental health projects for Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

Infant-at-Work Program

fritzR

CFPHE’s Sarah Lampe and her son, Fritz, tag-teamed a presentation at a recent SIM Advisory Board. Sarah was able to co-lead a presentation with Fritz in tow thanks to CFPHE’s policy that allows new parents to bring their babies to work. In early 2016, the Foundation adopted an Infant-at-Work Program to provide a positive work environment that recognizes parents’ responsibilities to their jobs and to their infants by acknowledging that, when an infant is able to stay with a parent, this benefits the family, the employer, and society. Employees at the Foundation have found great joy in having Fritz around, and are proud to contribute to the cultural movement of improving opportunities for new parents and their children.
