Sara E. Miller, MPA
Executive Director
Sara Miller is the Executive Director of the Colorado Foundation for Public Health and the Environment a non-profit organization. She joins this work after eight years directing the Comprehensive Cancer Prevention and Control Program for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She has led efforts over her career to enhancement, planning, and implementation of cancer related programmatic and surveillance activities and strategies for Colorado. Ms. Miller led the development of the Colorado Cancer Plan, developed by the Colorado Cancer Coalition and its 150 partner organizations, outlining goals, strategies, and activities increase and maintain momentum in cancer activities and programs in the state. Ms. Miller spearheads training and capacity building, public and professional education, and development of community based cancer prevention and control projects throughout Colorado.
Ms. Miller has over 15 years of experience in program development, implementation and grant writing in the public and non-profit sectors. She also serves as a private consultant for non-profit organizations in the areas of program development, program evaluation, and grant writing. She is on faculty at the new Colorado School of Public Health and is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Affairs at the University of Colorado.
